NEW
RELEASES!
DESTRUCTION
IN ART

Finally,
after two EPs and the rather oddball side project Raga
Blung, the new full length album Destruction In Art is
out. Destruction In Art is a part of an as yet
uncompleted multimedial work that takes a somewhat
ironic stab at the concept of "The Artist as God". The
music slowly paints an atmosphere through its
repetitive rhythms and minimalistic sounds. Droning
and lingering, yet psychedelic and even danceable (!?)
landscapes of sound. More information available
here.
RAGA BLUNG
Raga Blung was
recorded in the summer of 1999 and consists of three
tracks, all of which are acoustic improvisations or as
the band explains:
"The set,
which consists of a number of improvisations, was
recorded in a haze, a hot summer day. We had gathered
together in a small room that soon was deprived of air
and the intense heat left us dehydrated and dizzy. In
this state we recorded a couple of raga-like
improvisations, quite unlike the usual Gaga Blung
sound, not only because of the acoustic
instrumentation, but also in atmosphere. After
regaining full consciousness, we discovered that the
crude and primitive sound of the recordings hadn't
lost its appeal, so we decided to release it as it
were."
DAS WORT
(EP)
This 20-minute
EP was recorded in the fall of 1999 and consists of
two minimalistic, droning compositions. On the 9th of
November, 1999, the work was premièred at the
exhibition "Det Levande Ordet" at Sundsgården in
Helsingborg.
